Willem Abelen's FLUX

Willem Abelen's FLUX is founded by composer and band leader Willem Abelen. The band was originally created to play at the final exam of Willem at the world-famous BIMHUIS. After this concert in a packed BIMHUIS, Willem decided to make FLUX his main focus and began preparing to record his debut album. He recorded this in February with the current line-up of Tom Veltien on guitar, Michal Niedbala on piano, Freek Mulder on double bass and Yordi Petit on drums. The album, also called FLUX, will be released in September 2023 on Zennez Records. He sees the record as a reflection on current events, the chaotic times we live in today. Cinematic jazz, where each song tells a story while simultaneously giving the musicians the freedom to add their own chapter. Easy-listening but exciting, authentic but experimental.

You can see Willem Abelen's FLUX at:

28 September - Roode Bioscoop Amsterdam

26 November - Pletterij Haarlem
